In the Philippines, my team and I were partnered with an organization called Wipe Every Tear. This organization works with women that have been sex trafficked/ sexually exploited. While partnering with this ministry we got to prayer walk down Red Street (the street the women worked on). We got to talk to the girls at morning breakfasts and weekly devotion, and ministered to them in many other ways. While partnering with this organization we got to the opportunity to partner with a local church called Church So Blessed. It was such a great blessing to get to work with them. Through their ministries we got the chance to hand out food packs on Red Street, participate in hospital ministry, drug rehab ministry, and so much more. This church truly emulates Matthew 25:35-40. They pour their heart and soul out into ministry and worship the Lord with all their being.

While in the Philippines, God walked me through

some tough things and I had to rely on him for my strength. The ministry we were working with was a little heavier than the ministry that we had done prior to the Philippines. It truly challenged me to be more in tune with God and the spirit. I had to make sure to spend time with the Lord otherwise my spirit would waver and wouldn’t be well. God was also walking me through a lot of personal growth during this season and used some of the women’s stories to heal and make me understand more of what I walked through growing up.

Even though the Philippines was hard and grew me in so many ways, I wouldn’t change it for anything. I loved what God did in the lives of those around me and through the women that we interacted with. During our time, there was another team of missionaries from Florida that was partnered with Wipe Every Tear and they held a banquet and getaway for the women that signed up to go. Through that banquet and getaway there was a woman that decided to go to the Hope House. Which is the safe house that Wipe Every Tear has. They house girls there that have been Morning breakfasttrafficked/exploited and put them through school and allow them to have a way out of what they have been through. Also after we left, one of the mamasons (women in charge of women in the bars) and some of her girls went to church with one of the staff people from Wipe Every Tear. I truly believe that these women want out of this industry and just don’t know how to get there.
