Coming into the race, I held very loose expectations because I know a lot can change and a lot can happen day to day. It’s a good thing that God prepared me in this way because I think without that I would have struggled. When we first got to Thailand, it took a bit of time to get used to things and how it all would go.

The ministry we were working with was called “A-Mane” and we got the chance to teach English to Thai students from the age of 5-18. Three of my teammates got the chance to teach for one week each about the topic they went to college for. So the students got to their English words for recycling, law, and common phrases we use in the US. Each of my teammates got given a lesson plan on these topics from our Host and was asked to teach them. It was cool to see from a teacher point of view the way my teammates decided to articulate and go about teaching the students. All three of them did a wonderful job.

Then I got the chance to co-teach with my other teammate about Noah’s Ark in two different instances. One of them was at A-mane and the other was at “Association of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities of Thailand.” When we taught at A-mane the whole team was involved with the lesson which was really fun to all have a role and to work together collectively. Teaching this lesson to the people with Down syndrome was a lot of fun. It brought out so much joy and love in the people there. It reminded me of the simplicity of God’s love and his gentleness for each person in His kingdom.

During our time at A-mane we got the opportunity to visit a church in a town called LopBuri. When we visited we were supposed to be staying at the church but some logistical things ended up happening so we ended up staying with the two women that work at A-mane (LopBuri is their hometown). This was such a sweet God moment because it allowed us to not only visit this new town and new church but it also allowed us to pour into our relationship with these two women. This weekend we stayed with them was so bittersweet but so good. I enjoyed getting to see a new part of Thailand, getting to see monkeys, and getting to see a cool Thai culture festival, and having this sweet opportunity to growing our relationship with the women that hosted us.

Now we are doing ministry with a church right outside Bangkok where we get to evangelize to university students and play frisbee with them. Stay tuned for more information on that in a later blog.

Prayers:

– Healing for my ankle (currently healing from a sprain)

– For my teammates and all God is doing in and through is

– For Thai people and their hearts to be moved.

Financially:

I am currently 34% funded. I would love your consideration to donate toward the work I am doing. Without donations from you, I can’t be doing this and through Gods grace I say Thank you!
